Maine: No to Gay Marriage

What's upsetting about all of this is how minority rights are being put to a vote. It's a complete breakdown of one of the fundamental purposes of government: to protect minority rights against majority rule. The government needs to step in and clarify EVERYONE'S rights as per civil union/marriage.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak out for me.
